Miscellaneous Crap

My dogs suck. The other day I spent quite a while picking up dog toys from the yard, bringing them in and washing and drying them. The yard looked like a daycare. I also cleaned the entire deck and table area. Right now it's very dark outside, sprinkling and guess what? There's about 10 plush toys in the yard, getting wet and dirty. My dogs suck.

I am gathering things for R's mom's garage sale tomorrow and I have discovered I have some kind of shoe fetish. I found about 15 pairs of sandals and sneakers that can go and I haven't even looked through my other pile of shoes. I have a purse fetish too but I'm keeping most of those doggone it. What should shoes sell for? $5? They're Sketchers, Baby Phat, Tommy Hilfiger, etc sneakers and sandals. I think $5 is fair, maybe $10 but that might be too high. You know how garage sales are, you go to get these super hot deals. I'll probably do $5. Then what if they don't sell? I'll feel all sorry for my poor shoes.

The rain is back. More rain means more demons from hell in the form of palmetto bugs. I keep a clean house, we exterminate, etc but those minions of satan come in via the deck when it rains hard. They seek shelter in my home and I'm terrified of them. I saw 3 last week. THREE! Once, I could count on Swan to defeat the mighty terrors but she just rolled over and went to sleep this time. Luckily the mighty R murdered them but still. What if he wasn't here? Can't count on the dogs to do the work for me. Remember, they suck.

With that said, I love my little hellions. They take naps with me, keep me company and bark at strangers and protect us. I was teasing about them sucking. :)

Cydia Error Fix

If you have an iPhone and it's jailbroken then you may get errors on Cydia that look like:

I found out how to fix it and will try to explain. First you need to download OpenSSH on Cydia. Just do a search for OpenSSH and install. Once you have that installed restart your phone.

Then on your PC you download WinSCP

Once you have both you will need to run WinSCP and go to your iPhone in settings, WiFi, then view details for your IP address.

In WinSCP you will put in your information like the following picture except use your own IP address in the Host Name Field and the password is alpine:

Now once that opens it will search for you. Just ignore the the message that it can't find the host because it will keep looking for you. Once it connects then watch this video below to fix Cydia. I did it and it worked perfectly.

Bats - I love em!

I love bats! Not the baseball kind (Go Yankees!) but the furry flying kind. We see them in our neighborhood all the time near dusk and we usually see a few at Home Depot if we're there at the right time. You can tell by the way they fly, otherwise you might think it's a bird. Anyway, they eat like 5,000 lbs of bugs per night and that's eat bat so I'm thinking of getting a bat cage. We can make it ourselves but they have like four or five different chambers so it might be easier to just buy one because they're not expensive. Hey, anything to keep the bugs away is great. I hate mosquitoes and those darn no-seeums. Anyone ever had a bat cage?

Pub food

I love certain kinds of pub food like fish and chips and yorkshire pudding but I recently heard about one kind on Top Chef Masters called Toad in a Hole. It's yorkshire pudding with sausage in it. You bake the sausages right in and it was delicious. However, I like my yorkshire pudding cooked the traditional way where it's more gooey in the middle and you have to refrigerate it for a couple of hours. That seems to make the bread more moist. This recipe turned out exactly as it should but the dough was heavier. Have any of you tried yorkshire pudding? It's to die for!

Disclaimer **Adult Product Review**

**Warning - adult product review below**

I recently received my very first product for review from Eden Fantasys. It’s the Purple Passion, which is a cyber skin toy and let me tell you, I love the feel of cyber skin. Every time we go to one of the adult shops I always play with the cyber skin samples, going around sticking my finger in them. I know, just picture that, right? It’s just an innovative and unique type of product. So obviously the first thing I did when I received it was to savor the feel of the cyber skin sleeve that fits over the actual product.

The Purple Passion is a waterproof kit that includes the textured sleeve and has the multi speed vibration ability from the handy dial at the base. The first thing I noticed was that the speed didn’t seem very high but that was just from touching it, not actual use. Believe me; it has a nice, steady speed when used in the right places. It also has a unique angled head that is great for g-spot stimulation which was very nice. The most perfect thing is how it feels though. Cyber skin comes closest to feeling like real skin and was definitely a plus and a high selling point for me.

The only downside I would give the Purple Passion is that it eats batteries like I drink Starbucks coffee. We played with it for about 20 minutes before it went toe up and died. That’s not very convenient when you’re in the moment. However, given the rest of the positives that it brings to the table, I’d definitely recommend it for the price.

It requires two AAA batteries and it easily cleaned with soap and water. I like the waterproof aspect since you don’t have to worry about it tearing up during normal cleanings. This adult toy is easy to store in any place you normally store any product of that nature. It features Phthalates free, hypo-allergenic, food-grade material and latex free. It's 6 3/4 in length and 2 inches in circumference.

Best wishes to Bret Michaels

I liked Poison a lot, loved the Rock of Love shows and love Bret on Celebrity Apprentice. He seems like a genuinely nice guy. I was shocked to read that he was in critical condition with a subarachnoid hemorrhage, which is bleeding of the brain stem. He had a really bad headache, worse than ever, and was rushed to the ER. Supposedly he was talking and all on Friday (earlier today) so hopefully that's good news. My sincerest best wishes go out to him and his family for a speedy recovery and good news.

Be for real

Friends, who needs them right? Well, I do but the last couple of days have been somewhat annoying.

Do not tag a photo of me on Facebook and make fun of me, Rich and my dead dog. I mean come on! Did you really think that was funny? And when I asked you to stop you said, "Make me." Deleted friend - check.

If you are offended by my once a month adult products post and want to unsubscribe I understand. But is it really that hard to write me back and say hello or that you were offended in the first place? I wrote twice and got nothing back.

If I ask you a favor in confidence is it necessary to sever all ties because now you're all incensed that I even asked? I'm never offended when my friends ask me for a favor. I mean, come on.

For the rest of you, I love you all. And a couple of people out of the friends I do have isn't bad at all. I just had to get that off of my chest though. Now I can carry on with my business. For the record, I should have the new post up on the first adult product in a few days. A heads up for the future offended persons.

A warning of sorts

I've been chosen to review products for Eden Fantasies. If you haven't guessed by the name, they have adult products and not being one to pass up free, fun products, once a month or less I'll be posting reviews of products. If this offends you then please skip those reviews once they post. Don't worry, I'll keep it classy and clean but it's still adult reviews so here's your proactive warning. :)

Russell, Keep Your Hantz Off of My Guys!

I love Survivor and especially this season with villains vs heroes. I also adore Russell Hantz but so far he's gotten rid of three of my favorite players! Tyson, Boston Rob and my boyfriend Coach. Okay, so Coach is a little out there but I adore him and hated to see him go. I've loved the villains this season and wanted them to really take it to the end. Well, they are but without my favorite guys. I guess I have to give huge props to Russell Hantz since I consider him one of the best players ever. I just wish he could have done it while keeping my guys around too. I can't wait to see what happens next week. I mean really, who gives their immunity idol to an opposing team member?

Aging? Not me I hope!

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of Dermajuv Skin Care Products. All opinions are 100% mine.

Dermajuv_skin_care_products
Back in the old days women tried all kinds of things to help with aging such as they do today but the difference is, there weren’t as many choices. Nor were there so many scientific advances that we’re privy to in today’s world. Now we have a choice of very aggressive skin care products such as Dermajuv. These products have the latest, cutting edge scientific research to make them something that can help a lot more than mom’s wrinkle cream.

I believe that any of the new trends that involve scientific research will be a lasting item because people want to know that what they purchase has a chance to work and know that it was tested and used the latest technology. Not only that, these eye gels and wrinkle creams have such ingredients as Matrixyl that works at the DNA level to stimulate the lower layers of skin and promote the reversal of aging.

The point is, there will always be a new product out but with the science we have today, I think it’s much more exciting to try new things and know that the research behind it will definitely help out your skin. I’m often told I look younger and to be honest, I want to keep it that way.

Judging is so not cool

As most of you know, we've had AC issues. We have one person that came out that is a friend and that's who we're going with. Good deal and all that. In the meantime though, we had another person who is a friend of a friend who supposedly had a unit already that we could get. So he calls up R today to ask for directions and said, "The only address I see that might be you is the one with the $80K truck outside." Well, that's us but the truck was not $80K when we bought it and we're still paying on it. So R tells him that's us and he has his Nextell on while talking to his wife and tells her about the truck. She proceeds to tell him, "Oh yeah? Poor babies! Shouldn't have spent so much on a truck." I'm like, "Say what?"

I've already dealt with this earlier in the week with someone else. First of all, no one knows what we have, what we spend or what we're lacking. Only what I tell you and since I have a big mouth, sometimes that's a lot. My point is, you can't look at the person in line wearing a Rolex with a food stamp card and start bitching. Their watch might be fake, they might have got it as a gift or they fell on hard times. I'm tired of being judged by people who think they know what I do. Yes, I love to buy things and yes, while I was loaded I spent like it. There, I said it. Having money in 2008 doesn't mean that I needed a new AC unit then or a new car for R. We need it now and we're getting both without help from anyone else. So to those that care, I appreciate it. To those that judge, find someone else to judge and remember that you're the one being judged by doing so.

PS I do not have a food stamp card, that was an example. LOL

How Do I Love Glee

Let me count the ways. I've missed it so much and I think it's because every single show is like a small Broadway experience and hey, we don't get much of that here in Panama City, Florida.

Now it's got one of my favorite people guest starring, Idina Menzel. Most people know her from Wicked but I've been a huge fan since I saw her in RENT, which is my favorite Broadway show.

I also love seeing people that can sing, dance and act. Do I get jealous? Why sure! My dream for years has been to go to Juilliard. Yeah, I'm never going to get to go for obvious reasons but people that can do all that impress me, then I get all jealous then impressed all over again.

But seriously, there's not another show on right now that is like Glee and I for one, love it and look forward to it each week. The songs are awesome and it's just a fun show and let's not forget Jane Lynch, who I adore.

Fuji Japanese Buffet

We had the most awesome meal the other night and we started to not even go because it was close to 9:30 and we thought they were closing soon.

It's Fuji Japanese Buffet in Callaway (for you locals) out on Tyndall Parkway.

There were literally tons of sushi choices (I've never seen so many) and the hibachi grill had the best sauces I've ever had. Not only that but for $2 more you can get lobster with your dinner plus there's the obvious buffet items. One item I've always wanted to try is beef carpaccio and guess what they had! It was delicious.

The service was outstanding and the food was phenomenal. I don't think I'll ever eat at a Chinese buffet again when we can go there instead. I can't wait to go back.

C'elle - For Your Own Personal Stem Cell Collection

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of CryoCell International. All opinions are 100% mine.

According to a recent study on the April 2010 cover article of Stem Cells and Development, stems cells that are located in menstrual blood can possibly be a source for stem cell therapies in patients who have had strokes and other disorders of the central nervous system. The 'Stem Cells and Development' article shows that menstrual blood may be an important source of autologous stem cells; a cell type that is a perfect match for the recipient. Women have donor cells that are specifically tailored to match the donor completely so there’s always a perfect equivalent.

Did you know that stroke is the third foremost cause of disability and death in the United States? These statistics are in adults and thrombolytic therapy only helps out about 2% of ischemic stroke patients. C'elle in 'Medical News Today' is partnering with worldwide researchers on pre-clinical studies for the prospective of future therapies that might help with disorders such as breast cancer, diabetes and wound healing care. C’elle stem cells have shown a significant potential in transforming other cell types for regenerative therapies in the future.

Right now C’elle is offering a special where you can get a $100 discount off of the regular retail price of $499 for a limited time offer of collection, processing, testing and storage for one year at $399. All you have to do is use the code CLSTR. Imagine having your own personal collection in case you need it in the future. How can you put a price on a life saving technique? Best of all, it’s from your own body so it’s always a perfect match.

Check them out and learn all about stem cell research and the ability to get your own collection right from home. It will be processed and tested, then stored for your convenience.

My Awesome iPhone

I got my birthday present early since we got such a great deal. We found an iPhone on Craig's List that's unlocked and jailbroken. We met the guy at Starbucks tonight and it's like brand new other than having a ton of songs in it, which is perfectly fine with me. He even hung out with us till we got it set up and called T-Mobile to add it. So I've already set up my favorites like Facebook, Foursquare, FML, etc and R helped me move them to the right place. I know how but couldn't get but one moved right. He also put in my contacts for me while we watched TV. I'm loving it so far and now we are thinking about getting him one later on when we have the money. We got this one at this totally awesome price. The ones like it were on eBay for double and sometimes triple the money with it being unlocked and jailbroken too. I'm very excited! I love my Blackberry but I love this too!

I take it back, Justin Bieber

Okay so tonight I was watching SNL and Justin Bieber is on that show too. It's Bieber overload. BUT...he was adorable, funny and get this, he sang this song that was like You Smile, I Smile and now it's stuck in my head. I guess he can stay on my People magazine since he's already there and all. I guess if I were 12 again I might like him more.

Justin Bieber on People Magazine

Really? I have no ill will against Justin Bieber but on my People Magazine? I love People Magazine and look forward to getting it each Friday or Saturday but come on, can't we put him on Teen People or something? R says they canceled that magazine. I'm not sure how he knows this intell but even so, isn't there some sort of Tiger Beat knock off we can put this guy on? I mean really!

Combining Feedburner Feeds

Well, it worked. I have all of my subscribers back (waiting on some to verify) and I successfully combined the feeds. Here's how to do it so that anyone else can figure it out without having to use a feed service and just go through Feedburner.

-Choose the feed you are looking to delete.
-Change its original feed source to the feed source of the feed you are looking to keep.
-Delete the feed you are looking to not keep and make sure to choose the 30 day redirection box.

What I did first though was copy all of my e-mail subscribers and their e-mail addresses so I would have them in case of any mistakes. I re-signed them all back just to be safe and that seemed to work.

I now have 69 readers instead of it split into two feeds and combined with my posts I made on Criminal Minds, I have my PR2 back. Yay!

Need moving supplies?

If you’re getting ready to move, you’ll need supplies like moving blankets, moving boxes and packing supplies. ABF U-Pack Moving ships everything right to your door and even better, they have a handy online moving box estimator that helps you figure out what all you’ll need. It doesn’t get much more convenient than that. Check them out if you’re thinking about moving.

Criminal Minds Spin Off (post 2)

Yes, this is my second post but I have new information. As I said before, I watched the Criminal Minds episode tonight with the new team that will be on the spin-off and it was awesome, as usual.

I did find out when it releases. It is set to premiere September 2010, when Criminal Minds is renewed for a sixth season. That is awesome news. Criminal Minds is my favorite show ever and I already love this new team as well. They seem more rogue, as I said before and judging by tonight's show, they are.

You have the leader of the team played by Forest Whitaker, a British special ops guy, a former convict out of San Quentin and someone who quit the FBI and was recruited back. I am loving it already and can't wait for September to come.

What did you all think of the show tonight and the new spin-off team?

Combining Feedburner Feeds

I've had two feeds going since I took on a domain name for this blog. One has 43 readers and the other has 27 readers. I want it to read that i have (tries again to do math) 70 readers so tonight I searched high and low for instructions on how to do just that. So, if you are one of my readers please let me know if things mess up for you. Supposedly it should work fine and update accordingly but of course right now it shows the 27 readers so it hasn't combined quite yet. If all else fails I'll resend out the sign up and please accept so I don't lose anyone. :)

Date Night

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of 20th Century Fox. All opinions are 100% mine.

I can’t wait to see Date Night Movie. Starring Tina Fey and Steve Carell, it releases on April 9, 2010 and is about a couple who goes out for a “date night” and gets a little more than they intended.

I think everyone can use a date night now and then, especially couples who have been together a long time like me and R. Of course, not every couple’s date night includes a car chase, a shootout, intrigue, a showdown with underworld boss at a strip club and breaking and entering but in this movie it does. Imagine how fun that would be if it happened to you. I mean sure, that sounds super scary but I bet everything turns out okay and if you knew that it would, how exciting would that be?

The movie looks totally hilarious and it doesn’t hurt that Tina Fey and Steve Carell are in it. Both of those two are funny by themselves so pairing them up should double the laughter. You can check out the trailer that is included and why not make it a “date night” and go see it on opening weekend? Perhaps you can make their “date night” a part of your own.

Criminal Minds Spin Off

Just watched Criminal Minds with the new team that is going to be on the spin off show and I like them already! I've always loved Forest Whitaker and the rest of his team are obviously more "rogue" than what we're used to but I think it's going to be just great. I can't wait to find out when the new show starts yet but I know it'll probably be my second favorite show, that's for sure!

"Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Squeakquel"

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of Alvin and the Chipmunks. All opinions are 100% mine.

The "Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Squeakquel" DVD is ready to watch! It’s available on DVD, Blu-ray and Digital Download and you can buy it now. There’s even a double DVD set that has "The Squeak Along" Bonus Disc, with more music, fun and all-new singalongs. Visit Fox for More Munk Mayhem for everyone.

The one thing I remember about Alvin and the Chipmunks, make that two things; was listening to the Christmas albums when I was growing up. Every Christmas my mom would play those albums that included Elvis, Alvin and the Chipmunks and some other stuff. Later, we saw an episode of King of Queens where Arthur keeps turning off the Chipmunks on the radio because he said that Alvin is disrespectful to the other Chipmunks for being late. The other thing I remember is going to Disney World when I was a little girl and there’s a picture of me with Alvin. I have on purple shorts and a purple t-shirt and I look so cute because I’m leaning into him but my body language is still, “Back off!”

So this would be a great addition to anyone’s collection, especially if you have kids. It’s family friendly and something you can share memories about.

Another Do Not Mix Story

Okay, that's Blitz there on the right. I know, it's an old picture but just look at how cute he is there!
Now this is a box of Kraft Macaroni and Cheese.

Yesterday I was having said Macaroni and Cheese for lunch. Oh, how the mighty have fallen. I actually ate some old macaroni and cheese but that's beside the point. I gave Blitz one teaspoon full. ONE! That encompassed about 10 noodles and they're tiny. Within about 2 minutes he was hurling at my feet. He threw up four times. I had to clean it up, gagging the whole time. He has the most sensitive tummy ever. Now I know that's not a nutritional doggy meal but honestly, ONE teaspoon is all I gave him, I swear. So add that one to the do not mix stories. Back to rice, chicken and dry food. No more cheesy goodness for him. Not even a tiny teaspoon.

American Residential Law Group

Looking to negotiate new loan terms on your mortgage? American Residential Law Group works closely with borrowers so that they can have an advantage when they're ready to negotiate a loan modification. Check them out to see if they can help you on your mortgage.

Impatience

Things seem to take so long. We were supposed to hear about the truck this morning but no word yet. Oddly, R's car is running fine now so what to do? Drive it till it breaks or be proactive and try to trade?

The a/c guy who is a friend of ours is supposed to come over this afternoon to see about our central heat and air but we haven't heard from him yet.

Yesterday we spent all day doing this type of stuff. I guess I'm just impatient because I feel like nothing was accomplished. I'm more of an instant gratification kind of person, which isn't the best attribute I can have.

Energy Saving Help

Everyone can use Energy saving ideas. Well, there’s a lot of things you can do regarding home energy and their costs. I signed up at My Hohm Center and it was free. Not only can you find ways of saving with home energy but I saw how I could save money other ways as well.

One such way was to hibernate my computer when not in use and save up to $60 per year. We are also in the market for a new central heat and air unit so their suggestion was when replacing our central air conditioner, choose a high-efficiency model with a SEER equal to 16 and that gave savings up to $445 per year plus adding a programmable thermostat saved another $33 per year. There are quite a few ways to save with your home appliances like buying an energy efficient refrigerator.

There were all kinds of useful information about saving on energy costs. Things like lowering the temperature setting on our hot water heater, replacing incandescent bulbs with higher efficiency bulbs (we already do this), having our ducts professionally sealed (will have to wait on the central heat and air unit for this one), insulating our hot water heater with a jacket, insulating hot and cold water pipes (I believe this is done too), and replacing our windows with double paned, solar glass. We don’t have those but we do have the solar screens installed so that helps a lot.

The point to all of this is that you can go there as well and enter your home’s information and find out what is best for you so that you can save the most money on energy costs such as heating and cooling. Best of all, it’s free to sign up and use so there’s no reason not to give them a try and see how much money you can save in a year’s time by taking their advice.

WebMD has given me diseases

Never use WebMD. I had tingling feet. Now mind you, I may have sat wrong or something but I went to look it up and it seems I either have diabetes or Multiple Sclerosis. All of the symptoms of both, I kind of have.

I would assume if it were either it'd be the diabetes where you eat wrong because I definitely do that. I've tested mine before though and it was fine but just to be sure I think I'll call and get an appointment to be tested. Hopefully I just sat wrong because they are not tingling now.

In fact, perhaps my feet knew I was writing this and freaked out and thought they'd better straighten up and fly right. Geez, on top of the central heat and air going out, R's car blowing a head gasket (oh, I didn't tell you that one? After we fixed it instead of buying another car and now the money we'd have for a down payment is sunk into said car?) and all I figure my luck has run out. Now I have a deadly disease and that's all I need.

Darn WebMD! ***still not tingling, I must have sat wrong for sure, right?

Vitamin B12 injections

I finally did it right. All this time I didn't know that these are intramuscular injections so that is why I had the huge needles from Mexico. All this time we were using an insulin needle from my mom. I found some instructions on the internet because I was curious about the huge needle. I gathered up my courage and did it...right, this time. Hey, everything like that is a learning process but now I've got it down pat. Now, I wonder if Rich will let me shoot him in the butt tomorrow. I'm so surprised that it was totally painless. At least now we know. Here's a picture of those huge needlesm they're 25 gauge needles:
