Like Scary movies?

Unknown

Frontiers is the latest installment from the After Dark Horrorfest franchise. One huge difference is that while most unrated movies never make it to a theater, this one opens on May 9th, 2008. From the trailer located at http://www.frontiersunrated.com/ it looks to be an awesome movie, in the same vein as the Hostel and Saw franchises. One might even say it’s reminiscent of Haute Tension (High Tension for those not familiar with the French title) since it’s also filmed in France.

According to their beautifully done website, this will only be in theaters for one week, just like the After Dark movies preceding it. It was originally to be shown with the other films but was hit with an NC-17 rating. After Dark had a choice to either cut out some of the violence and gore or keep it as it is and release it unrated; they chose the latter. I don’t know about you but I’d rather see my horror films unrated anyway.

It was only released in select theaters but you can already purchase it at places such as Amazon.com since it’s out on DVD now. I know I’m buying my copy tonight! I can’t wait to see this film after seeing the various trailers and clips on their site and if it’s anything like it seems, I know I’ll love it. If you like scary movies like me, I think this is one you can't afford to pass up on. Anything with controversy or an unrated rating...well, you can imagine how much that makes me want to see it more.
