I watched My Sister's Keeper today and to be honest, I thought it was really good. It stars Cameron Diaz, Jason Patric, Abigail Breslin, Elizabeth Daily, Joan Cusak and Alec Baldwin.
My Sister's Keeper is about a girl who sues her family for medical emancipation after being born to essentially help her sister live. You see, she is supposed to donate a kidney to her sister and this is after donating stem cells, bone marrow, etc all through her life.
What was surprising is that the movie actually had a few twists I never saw coming. Yes, it's a tearjerker but I loved the acting by the two girls and I was never bored. I'd recommend it if you like dramas. I might add that it was directed by Nick Cassavetes who also directed The Notebook.
PS The movie has a drastically different ending from the book.
