The Melting Pot

I've always wanted to go to a Melting Pot restaurant and although we had one here years ago, the closest one is in the Destin area. Sunday I finally got to go to one. Okay first off, the food was unreal. We loved it! It was kind of different than I had expected but so yummy. We had four courses:

Feng Shui Cheese which is Gruyere cheese with sake, white wine, mirin, horseradish and chive. That is served with bread, apples and vegetables.

Then we had a salad and I might add I was pleased that they put eggs on the salad.

Then the main course was Sesame Crusted Teriyaki Sirloin, Citrus Infused Pork Tenderloin, Sushi-Grade Ahi Tuna, Garlic Chili Chicken Breast, Kiwi Lime Shrimp, Spring Vegetable Dumplings, and Fresh Vegetables. This had two types of batter and about 10 dipping sauces.

Last but OMG not least was the dessert course. We got the Chocolate S’mores which is Milk chocolate topped with marshmallow cream, flambĂ©ed and garnished with crushed
graham crackers. The dippers you get with that are: Fresh strawberries, bananas, cheesecake, Rice Krispies Treats®, marshmallows, pound cake and brownies.

I'll definitely go back during a special occasion like a birthday or anniversary. I absolutely loved it.
