Missing Dog Amber Alert

Remember how I just wrote about the missing dog? Well, I found this awesome service that helps with that very thing. I mean how cool is it to have an Amber Alert for pets? Some might think it's not but I happen to think it's quite awesome. The cool thing is that they located thousands of lost dogs last year so to me, that's the epitome of epic awesomeness. Check them out! In fact, they were trying to locate a dog in my own neighborhood by telephone and I think that is pretty savvy!

Guys that are cute, but they are not

There's this thing where there are certain guys I think are hot, but they are not. It all depends on when and how you look at them. I don't get it myself but here's my list:

Steven Tyler
Iggy Pop
Willem Dafoe

I know, it's confusing to me too. I think there are others that I'm just not recalling right now. As you can tell, I'm tired and delirious so that's what you get on my blog this moment. Come back when I'm perky and sane. :)

Tibetan Singing Bowls

Y’all might remember that I got one of the Tibetan Singing Bowls a year or so ago. I love that thing! It makes the most beautiful noise although I could not figure out how to use it at first. Rich showed me how because as it turns out, there’s a certain way to do it. Anyway, they are gorgeous and everyone should have one in their home.

Our new awesome dog tags

We got new dog tags today from The Better Pet Tag and they are adorable. I'll post pictures of what we got. As a new customer you can buy two and get one free, which is perfect for us having 3 dogs.

Pepe Fanjul and a Lost Dog

I hate missing dog stories and love stories with happy endings but in this case, did they ever find the dog that Pepe Fanjul owns? I’ve noticed that the article was in 2002 and there wasn’t a follow up that I can see so now I’m lost in the dark on whether or not the sugar baron, Pepe Fanjul got his dog back. I sure hope so! My dogs have only gotten away from me a couple of times in the past and we always knew where they were, we just had to chase them down. I can’t imagine not knowing.

I think my bird has bad taste

Like most of you on the interwebz, you've heard that awful Friday video by Rebecca Black. Here's the rub, my bird loves it! He sings if he likes a song and screeches if he hates one. With this song he sings loud and proud. I think it's the auto tune to be honest. If you haven't heard this monstrosity then I'm your new worst enemy because here it is for your listening non-pleasure. Hey, if it's got to be stuck in my head then I can share. The only part I can tolerate is "Kickin in the front seat, kickin in the back seat." LOL

Alfonso Fanjul

Alfonso Fanjul was born in Cuba and became quite successful here in the United States and in Cuba before Castro took control and seized many people’s assets, including the assets of Alfonso Fanjul. After seeking political asylum in New York, he began sugar milling and is now the director or Florida Sugar Cane League and the Florida Sugar Marketing and Terminal Association, a founder of Biscayne College, and a trustee of Palm Beach Day School. He’s active in all aspects of the sugar cane business and his family is supportive of a variety of projects that help others. Included are such projects as the United Way and Good Samaritan Hospital.

Bobble Head Solar Toys

I love these things! I've seen them on television and then in this restaurant so I had to have a couple. In fact, I got one off of eBay for $2 and it is being shipped from Japan. They named him Mr. Pigeon and they keep me up to date on his "journey." I have a few on my desk and they are just the cutest things.

Pepe Fanjul Jr

Pepe Fanjul Jr. was recently spotted Café Boulud where A Night of Expectations for the benefit of Everglades Preparatory Academy & Glades Academy Charter Schools was hosted by Emilia Fanjul. You might know the Pepe Fanjul, Jr. is the heir to the Florida Crystals sugar fortune. Florida Crystals Corporation employs about 3,000 workers and is the United States’ largest sugar cane growers and refiners. Pepe Fanjul, Jr. was seen at the New York social scene at this latest party and continues to show interest in helping the community and building a future for others. Well engaged in political affairs, he continues to be a focal point in many communities.

Battle Los Angeles

It's been a while since I've been disappointed at a movie we saw at the theater but here we are. Battle Los Angeles looked good. I mean, I love apocalyptic stuff and that includes alien movies like Independence Day. However, this was certainly no Independence Day. It was more like Black Hawk Down, just like a lot of reviewers said. There's nothing wrong with Black Hawk Down but if I wanted to watch that again I'd have rented it.

Everything was washed out with smoke, haze or dirt so we could have been watching them fight in Afghanistan for all I know. If a movie has a city being destroyed, I want to see it. I also want to see the other cities in the world like they did in Armageddon or even 2012.

I guess I'd give it a 6/10 and for me, that's really low. It'd be lower but I didn't hate it. I just won't rush out and buy it and I especially won't get it on BluRay because it'll still look washed out and dirty.

Express Spring Swimwear

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Express for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.

Basic beach gets an upgrade with bold hues and body-loving shapes

Advertisement has awesome new women's swimwear for spring and I have already found one that I love. There is a variety of sizes, styles and the only issues I have is that these are the spring swim suits and I plan to take a trip to Key West and The Bahamas in December. But you know what? It's super hot in the tropics even in December so I might just check out the one in the picture I am posting. Anyway, I love the designer details on some of the bikinis such as the polished metal hardware. What I like about the one I am posting however, is that elegant coverage it gives. Not everyone is comfortable in two piece swimwear or a string bikini but with this one it's sexy yet looks classy and gorgeous.

You might want to check out their sweepstakes too! Right now if you sign up for Express e-mail you can be entered into a contest to win one of ten $200 Express GiftCards. You can check out the sweepstakes rules here. Just think, you could go shopping just by winning and enjoy spending all of that $200 you won!

HMS Home Warranty

I know you’ve heard me talk about HMS Home Warranty in the past but it is something I believe in and it doesn’t matter if you’re living in your home and plan to stay there or if you are selling it because it’s something every homeowner can use. HMS Home Warranty protects you against unexpected home repairs and what I like is that you can add extras such as hot tub repair. I know with us having a new hot tub that’s something that we could really use. HMS Home Warranty covers a myriad of major appliances; if you can break it, they can cover it.
