Consumer Portfolio Services (CPSS) is a finance company that helps those with less than stellar credit be able to get indirect automobile financing. Whether you have a low income, not much credit history or even past credit issues, they can help. What they do is buy retail installment sales contracts and provide these automobiles to the customers. These are primarily from franchised automobile dealerships and range from new vehicles to used vehicles that are still late models and current. The contract purchases are funded through a long term basis and this is done through securitization markets where the contracts are serviced throughout the life of it.
