How Do They Do It?

How do people work, have a family, etc and still keep a perfectly spotless house? We don't even have kids and I have no idea how our house needs a deep clean so often. I should know; I grew up in a spotless house and by the way, mine is clean. It's just not spotless like I'd like it. It seems the little things creep up on you till you need to do the entire room. I've decided to put a room on my list of to-do items each day and try to get one done at a time till the entire house is done. Perhaps that will work out.

I wish I were well off enough to afford a housekeeper - I really do. For now, I guess it's up to me.
