Bad Blood by Linda Corby is a story about a life
that any one of us could have had. A life of anguish, pain, and
triumph. It's story that is heartbreaking yet you feel the author's
spirit and will to go on. If you love this type of true story then
you'll love this book, just as I did.
Without giving away spoilers, let's just say that there are parts that are difficult to read. You feel the author's pain and can empathize with her, or at least I can. Many autobiographies are too polished, too “camera ready” and full of all the right things to say or perfect formatting. While I would have enjoyed a little better formatting (hey, it can be a real pain to format right for the Kindle) that took nothing away from the story. In fact, it made it all the more realistic and raw.
