Gurin Professional Rechargeable Flosser with High Capacity Water Tank

I've always wanted a water flosser but for some reason, never got one. I've had and use electric toothbrushes and that type of thing but never got one of these. So when I was offered the chance to get the product in exchange for a free review, I took it.

The Gurin Professional Rechargeable Flosser with High Capacity Water Tank works well and I use it often. I did learn one thing though - close your mouth when you use it. Having never used one, I got water on my face, my shirt, and the walls. Fun times. However, now that I know what I'm doing, it really works well to help floss your teeth.

  • New version includes: High Quality Rechargeable Batteries, an easy to fill water tank, quiet motor and a tip release button.
  • BPA Free and FDA Approved. Extra large reservoir is removable and easy to refill
  • Three operating modes for varying oral care needs: Normal Soft and Pulse. Two color coded and interchangeable tips are included for multiple users.
  • Rotating interchangeable nozzles great for multiple users, Universal Voltage, 100 to 240V~50/60Hz:
  • Provides and easy and effective way to support proper teeth and gum health at home
Check it out and get one for yourself. You'll really like it!

Savory Crawfish Cheesecake

This is a recipe we wanted to try since seeing it in New Orleans. It was out of this world and about 100 times better than I could have imagined! It turned out huge too. The picture here is before it was sliced and topped with the corn.

1/3 cup bread crumbs
1 cup Parmesan cheese
4 oz butter, melted
2lbs cream cheese, softened
4 eggs
2/3 cup cream
1 cup smoked Gouda cheese, grated
1 cup onion, medium diced
½ cup green pepper, medium diced
½ cup yellow bell pepper, diced
½ cup red bell pepper, diced
1 lb alligator sausage, diced
¼ cup green chili pepper, diced
1 lb crawfish tail meat
2 tspn salt
1 tspn chipotle powder
½ tspn black pepper
½ tspn white pepper
1 lemon

  • Mix bread crumbs and cheese; add butter and press into a 10" springform pan.
  • Bake 10 minutes in a 350°F oven to set crust.
  • Whisk the cream cheese until smooth; add eggs and whisk; then add cream and the Gouda cheese.
  • Sauté veggies with spices until soft. Add crawfish and cook until just done.
  • Add sausage and chili pepper, and fold into cream cheese mixture. Zest lemon and use juice too.
  • Wrap foil around pan to prevent leakage and fill pan with mix. Cover top and bottom of pan in case of leakage - add vent holes
  • Bake in water bath in a 450°F oven for 1½ to 2 hours.
  • Remove when an inserted knife comes out clean and the filling is set.
  • Cool before cutting. Remove from spring mold, cut into 12 pieces

Get Your W2 Online

Preparing for tax season can be a real pain and one of the worst things when preparing is having to wait on companies to send you your W2 form. Whether it's a company you previously worked for or one you work for currently, did you know that you can get your W2 online?

Not only does this help you have everything at your fingertips but it also saves time on waiting on the actual paper copy. That allows you to go ahead and start working on your return so that you can have your refund back as soon as possible.

In fact, check this out:

Many companies, including the military, have their employees W-2’s available online. The documents can be downloaded via a variety of outsourcing companies so the distribution process of the W-2’s are automated. Your employer should alert you as to whether or not you will be able to access your W-2 online.
If they do allow you to access it online, you will get the benefit of being able to file your taxes earlier in addition to not waiting for paper copies, and eliminating the security risks that come along with having that information sitting around on paper.

Don't wait on someone else when you can have it sooner.

Home Improvement Energy Tax Credits

With tax season just around the corner, you probably want to prepare to get the most credits you can. If you own a home and have done home improvements, one thing you might want to look into is home improvement energy tax credits.

These are credits that you can get for things like:

  • Electric heat pumps
  • Central air conditioner
  • Natural gas, propane, or hot water boilers
  • Oil furnaces
  • Advanced main air circulating fans
  • Biomass fuel stoves

There are quite a few deductions you can take and those are just a few of the credits available. You can also check to see how much of a credit you can get!

We all want to save money and get a tax refund as well so why not check out what you can do to make that happen?
